I'm a junior at Hurricane High School. I love music. I sing in the chamber choir and I play the piano and the guitar. Other sports that I love include basketball, soccer, and racquetball. By the way, if anyone's up for a game of racquetball, I'm game! Anyways, gotta run...

I just couldn't stand it any longer.  I had to get out and start running again.  Ran about a mile and a half in the morning and it felt so nice.  Did my sit-ups and push-ups.  Last week I could hardly make myself rest I had to stay active somehow.  I played basketball and racquetball almost every day.  

4.5 miles with Joe in the evening.  It was pretty hot but it felt nice to sweat again.  Did some more sit-ups and push-ups.  Then I went to the gym and had a nice workout and a swim.

A quick 2 miles in the morning. I need to get used to morning running. It was really hard for me to get up and just do it. Sit-ups and push-ups.

 Evening run from Red Cliffs to Quail Lake - 4 miles against the wind.

Easy 2 miles in the morning. The cloud cover was nice. Sit-ups and push-ups.

3 mile loop in the evening.  Really windy.  Then I went to Gold's Gym for a workout and some racquetball.

8.5 mile trail run with the club.  My legs were pretty sore from yesterday, but I still made it.

Morning run up on the Gould's Rim Trail. Nice 5 mile loop course. It felt great. My average mile pace was 6:22. Overall a nice fun run to start off the week.

Evening run in Washington on the trails.  About 5 miles I wasn't sure but it was just over 30 minutes and I was running pretty fast.  It was really hot and I was soaked with sweat afterwards. I'm looking forward to the 10k USG this friday.  Hope to see some of you there.

Hill run up on a volcano south of Hurricane. Really fun run. 4 miles.

Had to run after young mens and I had some pizza there.  Not a good idea.  Started a 5 mile run from out south to my house.  I ran 4 miles fine, but then I got a major side ache and had to walk the last mile.  Never again!

Had to do some speed work and some down hill training.  In the morning I ran 2 mile intervals down the hill going into toquerville.  I timed the first one in 4:22.  Calves got really sore though.

Went to St George and got some new shoes, Saucony Grid Sinister.  Look nice and feel great.  Ran 1.5 miles downhill but my calves were killing so I ran another mile flat.

I feel awful today. Couldn't sleep after 5 with the stomach flu. Had to throw up a bunch and I still feel sick. My legs are pretty sore too. I don't know if I'm going to make it to the race tomorrow.

Actually I think it's food poisoning.  I haven't eaten all day.  I threw up over 20 times and it's still not gone.

3 miles Angel Heights in the morning.  Started at the top and came down in the shade.  Adam rode his bike with me.

3 miles in the heat on the sheep bridge road to the river and dived in afterwards.

Left to go to Idaho and didn't get there till pretty late.

Got a chance to run the State X-Country course.  We stopped there on our way up.  Tried to remember everything.  It was a really nice day and good to get my legs loosened up during a long drive.

We found a 10k to run in Idaho Falls so I decided to do it. It was a nice scenic run along the river and past the temple. I was by myself the whole way until the course put us back with the 5k runners. I had to dodge a bunch of people. It was ok though I just ran it like a morning run, only a little faster cause it was a race. I won by 3 minutes with 34:47.

3 miles on the Angel Heights run in the morning. Hopefully I can get back to a regular routine now for a few weeks.

6.5 miles on a soft dirt road with Joe in the evening up on the H hill.  Mostly downhill the whole way.  Felt great!  Avg. mile pace was 6:30 exactly.  Did a half mile cool down.

Morning -- 3 miles on part of the bench lake course.

Evening -- 7 miles out south to my house.  Started at the top of the hill by Sand Hollow Lake and ran home.  Nice easy relaxed run.  My legs were a little tight so it helped loosen them up a bit.

A.M. Decided to run the x-country course this morning. Warmed up half a mile. Then took it easy most of the way except a few strategic spots that I wanted to work on, visualizing the race the whole time. Good run and half a mile cool down. 4 miles

P.M. Had a birthday party at Quail lake and another activity at Sand Hollow so after I got done at Quail my dad dropped my off on the road to Sand Hollow and I ran there.  4 miles
